Can I drop off my own materials?
You are welcome to provide your own materials for projects (for specialty materials like paper, wood, or leather, we highly recommend sourcing these yourself). Materials or items can be dropped off at our shop during business hours M-F 10am-6pm. They can also be shipped to our address at 34 W 27th St, Floor 9, New York, NY 10001. Please note that per CDC and NYS guidance, you are required to wear a mask at all times when you are in our building.
How do I pick up my completed project?
Projects can be picked up at our shop location on weekdays between 10am-6pm. You will receive confirmation via email when your order has been completed and ready for pick-up.
We can also ship projects to you if needed! We use UPS, please let us know if you will need a project shipped so we can include the cost of shipping in your quote.
How long will it take to complete my project?
Most projects can be turned around in 3-4 days, but your timeline will be evaluated when you send your design in for a quote.
What materials can be laser cut?
We are able to cut a variety of materials; some of the most common are paper, mylar, acrylic, wood, and fabric. We are not able to cut any metals. For a full list of materials for laser cutting, please click here.
What is the maximum size that can be cut?
Our largest laser cutter is 24” x 48”, and our maximum cut depth is 1/4”
Do you cut custom stencils?
Yes, we are able to cut mylar stencils with artwork up to 23” x 47”; if your artwork is larger than this, we will cut it in sections and add registration marks. We stock 3 mil matte mylar, 5 mil matte mylar, and 10 mil acetate. (Thicker mylars and alternative materials will need to be special ordered and will have a longer lead time).
Please keep in mind that artwork may need to be altered to create durable stencils. If we need to alter your artwork, we will send a digital proof prior to cutting.
Do you cut custom foam inserts?
Yes, laser cutting can be used to create grey foam inserts for packaging. For foam insert projects, we will need a vector of the outline of the piece that is being packed and the interior dimensions of the box that will be used. Foam inserts will be cut from high-density grey foam.
Do you cut and assemble signs?
Our clients often use our services to create signs. We can assist with gluing, assembling, and finishing signs on a case by case basis. We do not currently offer installation services, but we can assist with sourcing appropriate hardware.
